NEAR Protocol Price ( Update )

Despite the crypto market's meltdown in mid-May 2021, cryptocurrencies are growing in popularity and attracting more institutional and retail investors. NEAR protocol, a decentralised application platform aimed to make programmes functional on the web, is one such coin that has received some interest. NEAR is the ecosystem's native utility token.

This Near Protocol price prediction article will examine the price projection for NEAR, where it is headed, and whether you should add it to your portfolio.

NEAR Historical Price Analysis

CoinMarketCap started tracking the price of the NEAR coin on October 14, 2020. It all started with a $1.35 price tag. Until January of 2021, when it began to rise, the price stayed largely unchanged.

The price spiked to $2.65 on January 24 before plummeting, but it swiftly rebounded to new all-time highs in early February 2021. It began to go parabolic on February 11, reaching $5.32 on February 12 before collapsing. It began to go parabolic again on March 6, 2021, reaching an all-time high of $7.48 on March 13, 2021.

The price promptly collapsed and spent the rest of April recovering lost territory until April 11, when it crashed again. It wasn't until May 11 that the price started to rise again, reaching $6.93, before the entire crypto market plummeted.

The price of NEAR has risen for two days in a straight, and it is now trading above $8.66, or 40% higher than the previous all-time high. The platform has a total market capitalization of approximately $3.9 billion, according to CoinMarketCap, making it the world's 45th largest cryptocurrency.

NEAR Protocol Price Prediction 2021

The price of NEAR is predicted to rise over the second half of 2021. NEAR should be valued $11.54 at the end of December.

It should be emphasised that, given the current Bear market trend, the odds of the price hitting that level are dwindling by the day. Although there is still time for the price to rise dramatically, investors should keep their expectations in check before purchasing.

NEAR Protocol  Price Prediction 2022

For the price of NEAR, 2022 is predicted to be a fairly bland year. While there appears to be good growth in the months of April, July, October, and November, the price appears to fall back to around $10.50 in the other months.

Price Prediction for the NEAR Protocol in 2025

Prices would have doubled from 2022 by the time we reach 2025. The average price of NEAR for this year is expected to be $53.68. That's a 6x increase above the current price. Based on the data, you would still be profitable if you invested in either 2023 or 2024.

Is it a good idea to invest in NEAR?

Looking at the charts, it appears that, despite the present weak market trend, investing in NEAR is a sensible decision. Things become much more positive when you ‘look behind the hood' to see what this initiative is all about, including its personnel.

This isn't even taking into account the amount of institutional adoption and investment that has been pouring into the cryptocurrency sector since at least this year. Although the majority of attention is focused on Ethereum, it will only be a matter of time before institutions and investors in general turn their attention to other blockchain platforms in order to expand the crypto market and generate money.

What Technology does NEAR Protocol use?

The crypto community has faced a significant scalability difficulty as dApps have risen in popularity. The ability of a blockchain to handle a high number of transactions at an acceptable speed and cost is referred to as scalability in this context. Due to the huge demand for Ethereum, scalability issues have arisen. While some argue for scaling solutions to be implemented on top of Ethereum (Layer-2 solutions), other projects, such as NEAR, have chosen to develop totally new blockchains with distinct design. The deployment of sharding is the NEAR Protocol's proposed answer to this scaling challenge. Before going into detail about what this entails, it's important to understand the three primary tasks of blockchain nodes: they process transactions, relay validated transactions and finished blocks to other nodes, and store the network's state and history. As network congestion grows, these jobs become increasingly difficult for nodes to do. By breaking or partitioning ...

How NEAR Went Carbon Neutral

NEAR's Path to Carbon Neutrality Climate change, like the pandemic, is a worldwide catastrophe that is rapidly requiring the attention of the international community. It is a worldwide imperative that will necessitate a great deal of collaboration across various businesses and markets in order to assist reduce its effects. As a result, the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in 2021 is crucial. Silicon Valley isn't frequently singled out for its carbon footprint, yet each company contributes to a far bigger carbon consumption total. You're on the electrical grid if you're a web-based firm, which implies your platform is almost definitely powered by fossil fuels. NEAR has been focused on a computational alternative to PoW from its birth. There are no miners in this system, which is known as Proof-of-Stake (PoS). Validators, on the other hand, must stake a certain quantity of tokens in order to participate. Communities are rewarded for owning and cont...

History of Near Protocol

Near Protocol was originally conceived as a machine learning platform. Illia Polosukhin and Alexander Skidanov founded it in 2017. Near.ai was the name at the time. They learned about smart contracts and cryptocurrency while investigating, which they found fascinating. They felt driven to learn more about cryptography and conduct more study. They began researching blockchain technologies on which to construct their applications. However, they came to the conclusion that no blockchain platform could match their needs and aspirations. As a result, they created Near Protocol to meet their internal requirements. Illia Polosukhin and Alexander Skidanov were explicit in their desire to create a hugely scalable blockchain platform that would allow developers to launch their strong DApps. As a result, they picked the Proof-of-Stake mechanism over Proof-of-Work. Illia Polosukhin holds a Master's degree in Applied Math and Computer Sciences from Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute of Nationa...
